Listed on this page are the many rumours that have come about concerning new attractions and the future of Fantasy Island. Please note before reading that these are *rumours* none are proven in anyway, all of which are from external sources and have no link to Island Quest.

Removal of Absolutely Insane

Absolutely Insane is the UK's tallest ride, but rumours of its removal have been circulating since the ride closed in September 2007. After over two years of remaining standing but not operating at the park, the future of the 240ft sky sling is questionable. It's thought that the park did attempt to sell the ride during the course of 2008. Since then, the park have reportedly attempted to reopen the ride several times. Without any prospective buyers it's likely to either be sold for scrap or simply left standing but not operating for the forseeable future at the park.

Safari Land Train and Circus Convoy Ride set for Removal

Recent rumours suggest that the Circus Convoy Ride and Safari Land Train could both be due to leave the park permanently. In September 2009, both rides were removed temporarily in favour of a temporary synthetic ice rink and mini quad bike attractions. It's possible that this space could be used for a new ride for the 2010 season.

New Major Ride Attraction Coming Soon

It’s been a long time since the park have added a new major ride attraction. However, it seems that in near future a new major development is to take place, this has been heavily hinted to us by the park themselves. This could be along the lines in scale of Absolutely Insane, it is unlikely that the park will choose to add a new coaster the size of Odyssey or Millennium due to the footprint size.

Unproven Rumours

A number of unlikely rumours have surfaced through the years, such as a fourth inversion for Millennium Roller Coaster, the removal of Jubilee Odyssey and a new Mondial flat ride for the 2008 season. Whilst these are unlikely to ever occur, we've preserved some of the most interesting here.
