Millennium Back Up and Running

It’s a little sooner than we expected but the ride has now reopened and does seem to be once again running reliably. The park have confirmed to us that this was an issue with the tires placed within the station track that are used to force the train out of the station and onto the lift. These have been required to be replaced since the start of the season however that minor 3 month technical glitch with Odyssey that caused two rollbacks caused this to be postponed.

Millennium Coaster Downtime

This year’s downtime has indeed already taken its toll, however it seems we are not done yet; Millennium Coaster has decided to give us a trial this summer. The ride which has already been closed for over a week is now confirmed to be down for the remainder of the summer.

The cause of this technical glitch is as yet unknown; however we can confirm that the rides train has been pushed out of the station onto the break run which hints that the station or mechanisms are be at fault.

Welcome to Island Quest

Welcome peeps to the main site of Island Quest. News from Fantasy Island is now being added as regular as clockwork, while in the meantime we’re running around like headless chickens to get this site fully developed.

For all you newbie’s; Fantasy Island Mania is where it all began, which launched in March 2002, the webs first and only site for UK theme park Fantasy Island. The site hit an all time low in the summer of 2004 ... In which it never recovered.

Island Quest is a direct replacement for FI Mania, being the webs first and only unofficial site for Fantasy Island. Split between both a central site and forums, constructed of the highest of quality and accuracy. Built to the specification of providing a compilation of Fantasy Island past, present and future.

Island Quest is currently under development, further content areas will become available as time progresses. Please see the Island Quest announcement for full details and regular updates over at the forums.

Botton's Pleasure Beach in Skegness have removed their Storm roller coaster after over a decade of operation. Replacing the Storm is Rockin Roller based on the previous site of Storm above one of Botton's many arcades. The ride is manufactured by Fabbri and is of a spinning roller coaster variety.

The ride is now open to the public; as of the 1st June 2006. You can either ride using a pay per ride system or by purchasing a wrist band.
