The regeneration scheme which is currently taking place at the park has now made its way into the pyramid starting with the Magical Seaquarium that takes riders on a tour underneath the pyramid into the darkness to discover the myths behind Fantasy Island. New theming elements have been added to the ride which include water fountains, whale and fisherman statues, and a ‘wall of water’ feature! Lots of paint work taken place, and some new lighting has been added that gives an underwater effect. Check out the image below to get an idea of how the Seaquarium looks after its spruce up:
Also the Dragon Mountain has been polished up with new materials along the sides of the water channels. However, this ride failed to open this weekend like many others.

Work has been ongoing throughout the winter to give the rides and attractions a new lease of life for the first season under the ownership of Conduit Leisure. Improvements have included a new station for Rhombus Rocket, which has now at last been completed, the end result can be seen in the image below:
The Rhombus Rocket was one of the few rides that managed to open as scheduled this weekend with not only a new station but a fully refurbished train including replacement wheels for every carriage. The supports for this family coaster have also received a lick of paint over the last couple of weeks, however, the track is still a tremendous state which is crying out for some maintenance work.
to discuss this with other members at the forums.

I can safely say it hasn’t been the best weekend at Fantasy Island with under half of the rides operating! As expected both coaster; Millennium and Odyssey were closed, but what was unexpected was the fact that neither of these coasters had their trains on track. Both trains were still packed down in the warehouse. Both Amazing Confusion and Absolutely Insane that neighbour Odyssey were also closed to the public.
Most shockingly all the rides excluding the Magical Seaquarium water ride were closed within the pyramid! Meaning both the majority of children's rides and thrill rides were down. On the main fairground the Wild Mouse and Volcanic Impact were also experiencing downtime along with a few children’s rides. Techno Jump - which was in pieces just over a week ago was surprisingly open to the public, Beast also managed to open which has been a rush and a task for the ride engineers due to the weather conditions in the last few weeks.
It isn’t expected that full normality will resume until Easter, however, we would expect that Millennium and several other rides will start opening next weekend.

Today Fantasy Island opened its gates for a new season - 2007, which is the parks 12th season. No new attractions this season, however, construction on many new attractions will begin in the Autum! The park is now open weekends only until April when it will reopen daily. Please note only minimal ride attractions are expected to open until around Easter. Neither of the coasters are expected to be open this weekend or next weekend since trains for both Millennium and Odyssey were in pieces in the warehouse just 2 weeks ago.

It was confirmed last season that Volcanic Impact no longer tilts, however, this was inaccurate. It's been confirmed to us by the park that the seats do still tilt but riders must ask the operatives for this to take place once seated. Fantasy Island have also mentioned that only certain seats do tilt, so you must ask before riding as to which ones these are.
