A 6,000 seat indoor arena is to arrive at Fantasy Island in 2008. This is in an attempt to widen the range of visitors to the park and surrounding area, making the park appeal to a wider audience – attracting both holidaymakers and convention delegates. The arena is the first new major development under the new management of Fantasy Island since being previously headed by Blue Anchor Leisure LTD.
East Lindsey District Council said: "It is a phenomenal investment and it shows the firm is certain there is a long-term future for tourism here."
Construction is set to begin on this attraction towards the winter. Once complete the complex will host concerts and conventions and is set to include an outdoor music venue. An ice rink is also planned, and could be open to the public during the daytime hours.

Nothing big but planning permission has just been granted for some new hot and cold food complexes to be constructed behind Planet Fun. There are to be four of these constructed.
Also the Peejays complex near the King Fisher caravan site is to be removed and replaced with a two story building containing a cafe on the ground floor and holiday flats on the first floor. This will include external seating.
