Park Sponsors Boston United FC

Boston United have signed a five-year contract with Fantasy Island Family Resort to sponsor the Main Stand at The Jakemans Stadium.

As a direct result of the sponsorship deal, the Main Stand will now be known as The Fantasy Island Stand until the completion of the 2013-2014 campaign.

Fantasy Island signage will grace the frontage of the stand and will be erected in the near future — giving the stand a major facelift in the process.

Reflecting on the news, United commercial manager Craig Singleton told “It is a major coup for the football club to have attracted Fantasy Island to sponsor the Main Stand and we are really looking forward to developing a mutually beneficial partnership over the next five seasons.

“I am sure that The Fantasy Island Stand will be a tremendous addition to the stadium.

“At this juncture, I would like to thank James Parker and everybody at Fantasy Island for their fantastic support.”

James Parker of Fantasy Island added: “We were approached by Boston United with a package that fitted perfectly with our long-term community goals.

“Under the new ownership management here at Fantasy Island, we are keen to work with Boston United as a partnership to move onwards and upwards.

“Fantasy Island are committed to working with a wide variety of people and projects to help all involved achieve their targets within the community.”

A few complaints were received from locals, who objected to the noise, but were satisfied considering that this was a one-off event. Nonetheless, Lincolnshire Police have reported there have been no incidents connected with the event, with the organisers describing it as a 'huge success'.

Waltzers were also set up on the opposite side of Sea Lane to coincide with the event. Whilst nothing to do with Fantasy Island, they were asked to closeat some point during the event, since they were making a lot of noise. Nonetheless, the waltzers are yet to leave, and have been operational over the past few days.

IQ Exclusive: 13 Year Old Brochure!

At Island Quest we're very lucky that we have various people who contribute to both our website and forum community.

Recently we've even seen Fantasy Island contribute towards Island Quest; offering free wristbands to Island Quest Memebers in return for Ride Descriptions for the park's website!

Island Quest have recently been in contact with WGH who manufactured several rides at the park including Rhombus Rocket, Fantasea Flume and Magical Seaquarium as well as several other rides.

WGH have provided Island Quest with a copy of a brochure which is over 13 years old and features information and pictures on all these rides!
