Fantasy Island BIG Weekend

Staff were around the park today handing out leaflets informing guests about Fantasy Island's BIG weekend, which is to be held on Friday 31st August - Sunday 2nd September 2007. The event looks impressive so far with the following line-up released:

Friday 31st August

Status Quo - Plus other special guests to be announced.

Saturday 1st September

Girls Aloud - Plus other special guests to be announced.

Sunday 2nd September

ABC
Go West
Tony Hadley + The Human League


Exact details, other than the acts above are unknown. However it is expected that other events will also take place around the park as well.

Fantasy Island Loyalty Card

The Fantasy Island loyalty card, to reward visitors who regularly take a trip to the attraction and Market will launch in May this year.

“The best loyalty schemes are simple and easy to operate and understand”, says John Baker, Director at Fantasy Island. “The scheme we are planning gives visitors free parking on a fifth visit if they come and pay for parking on four prior occasions. This encourages people to maximise their enjoyment of Fantasy Island by coming back again and again.”

There are opportunities for traders to advertise offers and loyalty promotions of their own in conjunction with the scheme. The cards, which are handed in to Fantasy Island staff on redemption can carry simple promotional messages. For more information about the scheme please contact Jeff Morgan at the Market office.

Massive Holiday Giveaway

The owners of Fantasy Island are to attract visitors and profile like never before with a massive holiday giveaway – six holidays including one luxury all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas will be up for grabs for Market customers across the season.

The holiday giveaway launched at the FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA – opened by Ray Quinn on April 7th. Market customers will be entered for the first FREE prize draw for a 4-Star luxury family holiday to Orlando Florida, when they make any purchase at Fantasy Island Market by Monday 9th April at 6pm. The winner of this first draw will be announced on April 13th.

Further prize draw dates will be May 20th, June 24th, July 22nd, August 26th and Sept 23rd.

The Las Vegas break will be up for grabs on the August Bank holiday weekend. So tell all friends and family!




Market Makeover

Market Makeover

Over the off-season at Fantasy Island, Island Quest reported on major changes happening to the massive eastgate market, which is situated at the park. These included construction of more units and the refurbishment of others with fresh coats of paint.

With the 2007 season now in full swing, a host of other changes have become clear! The biggest being the re-branding of the market, which is now called "The Market at Fantasy Island Family Resort". Along with this new name, a new logo has also been created which can be seen at the start of this article.

Fantasy Island have also created a dedicated website for the market which includes opening hours, news and other information.

Park Reveal New Logo

Park Reveal New Logo

The new owners of Fantasy Island, Conduit Leisure, have designed a new logo for the park which can be seen above.

“We did some extensive research on the loyal consumers who come here, and how we can attract more families and visitors who will enjoy what the attraction has to offer and spend holidays and family leisure budgets here,” says Chris Tidball, Finance Director of Fantasy Island. “We needed to demonstrate the accessible fun and variety of the attraction, but also highlight the variety on offer here and give a contemporary update to the brand”.

For this reason the brand description is “Family Resort”, to encompass the variety and value of the market and the excitement of the attractions. The Market has it’s own proprietary logo, to help establish it further as an attraction in it’s own right.

The new logo was developed by CADA Design Group, a London Design Consultancy specialising in brand and graphic design, whose clients include Pret A Manger, Intersport International and McArthurGlen. "The new logo is fun and traditional in it's look and feel, focusing on simple typography and a solid colour palette. The logo has to appeal to all the family, whatever the age. It's memorable and allows us to evolve the image of both the Market at Fantasy Island and the attraction itself." says Darren Callcott, Head of Design.

The logo will be appearing on all printed material, including new market carrier bags, and will be rolled out on site throughout 2007 and 2008.
